Profile
I started in bioinformatics, working close to biological data, experimental questions, and the tooling needed to make research reproducible. In industry, I have mostly worked where data science meets software engineering: identifying the customer’s real business pain points, helping stakeholders clarify what they need, turning those requirements into product features, and shipping mature solutions that can keep improving. I am strongest when a problem requires customer communication, research judgment, hands-on engineering, and awareness of real business constraints.
Experience
Suichuang Tech Co., Ltd. — Executive Director, AI Department
Jan 2024 - Present, Guangzhou, China
- Proposed methodology for data-science application development and software team management, improving product iteration efficiency by more than 35% in practice through self-built VCS, CI, and CD workflows.
- Re-designed and re-implemented the capacity prediction system in pure Rust, saving over 90% server load, reducing hardware costs by 50%, and improving overall performance by more than 150x.
- Designed and implemented a focused single-page application with rich data visualization charts.
LingBo Tech Co., Ltd. — Data Scientist
Jul 2021 - Dec 2023, Guangzhou
- Researched, designed, and developed a software system from scratch for predicting battery capacity from time-series data, saving the factory more than 60 million RMB and substantial operational time.
- Developed a continuous machine-learning framework with Bayesian-optimization-based auto-tuning for the domain-specific workflow.
- Developed a time-series data collection system usable across multiple workshops; optimized the database by scaling through MicroK8s, supporting more than 1 million concurrent connections with latency under 200 ms.
CellsVision — Algorithm Engineer
Jan 2021 - Jul 2021, Guangzhou
- Improved computer-vision object detection algorithms with a new feature extraction method, increasing recall by 3% and accuracy by 5%.
- Designed and implemented a single-page web application for on-site evaluation of multiple model versions, saving 1-2 engineers’ time during each deployment.
- Established a Netdata cluster with GPU load displayed through Grafana, reducing wasted GPU computing time to nearly 0%.
Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center — Technician
May 2020 - Jan 2021, Guangzhou
- Designed algorithms for analyzing single-cell sequencing data.
- Built biological database websites.
- Managed and maintained Linux servers.
Education
- Sun Yat-sen University, Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, Sep 2018 - Jan 2020 (Withdrawn2)
- Nankai University, M.S. in Bioinformatics (Zoology), Sep 2015 - Jun 2018
- Jinan University, B.E. in Biomedical Engineering, Sep 2011 - Jun 2015
Publications and Community Contributions
Representative publications are maintained on ORCID. Relocation is practical for my family: my child is still preschool-aged, my spouse can relocate with me, and I have no other dependents. ↩ The group’s research focus and work arrangement changed substantially, requiring much more hands-on wet-lab work. I wanted to stay focused on data science and computational methods, so I chose to leave the Ph.D. program. ↩
